Our approach utilizes alternative and quality new technologies with "outside the box” vision and expertise. TSG will be known as the company who’s word is it’s bond.

Our Company
TSG (The Selah Group), dba "Selah Information Systems, Inc.", was incorporated in Arizona in 1986. Founded by George J. Fulop in 1982.

While being in the work force it became quickly apparent that ethical business operation is a lofty accomplishment.  So George determined that if it was going to be done right, starting and operating his own business would be required.  And so starts the Selah legacy.
The driving force from the beginning was to provide a  business founded on an ethical foundation of doing business, ensuring that "Our word is our bond".

Selah
What's in the Name?

The word 'Selah' is a Hebrew word with a colorful meaning.  Selah can be defined as:

Se"lah, n. a word frequently found in the Book of Psalms, and also in Hab. 3:9, 13, about seventy-four times in all in Scripture. .. . Some interpret it as meaning "silence" or "pause;" others, "end," "a louder strain," "piano," etc. The LXX. render the word by daplasma i.e., "a division."

Frequently in the Psalms; by some, supposed to signify silence or a pause in the musical performance of the song.

TSG Trivia
"SCCI"

TSG really got started as an independent 400 level study course, which required the designing, fabricating and marketing of an electronic product.   The name SCCI (Selah Computer Components, Inc.) was adopted by George for this College project.  The project was a stereo audio synthesizer operating on a Motorola Exorcisor S-100 bus platform.   The synthesizer was programmed via the BASIC language using a TOS (Tape operating system) (That's right, this is even before DOS).   It took upwards of 20 mins to load everything required to give this synthesizer some brains from the tape.   The synthesizer was based on the General Instruments AY-810, chip that allowed for envelope, amplitude and frequency control via 8 bit registers.

Music could be programmed and voice synthesis was researched.  Most coding was done in Motorola 6800 Assembly language, some of it by hand.  The product life span was one semester but the Selah name went on.  George still has the board and plans packed away somewhere.
